Who we are

Simple Rota Maker is provided by Members of Us Limited. This notice covers information used by the Simple Rota Maker app and website. For privacy questions, email hello@simplerotamaker.app.

Information you provide

• Account information: your email address, sign-in information and profile details you choose to add, such as a name or picture.
• Your content: rotas, worker names, shift assignments, availability, tasks, notes, audio recordings and other supported attachments you save.
• Support messages: your contact details and information you send when asking for help.
• Purchase information: purchase status and related information used to enable or restore paid features. Apple or Google handles the payment transaction through its store.

A rota or task shared by someone else may also contain information about you. Only include information about other people when you have the right to do so, and take care before sharing personal details.

Device and technical information

Guest access uses a device-related identifier to associate the guest session with its saved content. It does not require an email address, but it is not anonymous access.

The apps include Google advertising and Firebase components. These services can process device or installation identifiers, IP addresses, app interactions, advertising activity and diagnostic information such as crashes. The information involved depends on the service, app settings, permissions and your privacy choices.

How information is used

Information supports the features you use: account access and password recovery, saving and retrieving content, importing shared copies, enabling purchases, sending service messages and answering support requests. Technical services also support app reliability, usage measurement and advertising.

Microphone, photo and calendar permissions support actions you choose, such as recording a note, selecting a profile picture, saving an image or exporting shifts. You can manage device permissions in your operating system’s settings. Some features will be unavailable without the corresponding permission.

Sharing and exports

Opening a shared rota or task link in the app imports a separate copy for the recipient. Shared content can include notes and attachments. Someone who receives the link may forward it, so choose what you share and with whom carefully.

Changes to your original do not silently update a copy someone has already saved. Deleting your original cannot recall copies or exports already held by recipients. Exporting to a calendar, spreadsheet or another app also places information under that destination’s controls.

Advertising and service providers

App advertising uses Google’s Mobile Ads service, also known as AdMob. Google’s User Messaging Platform supports the advertising privacy choices presented in the app. Where available, you can revisit those choices through the app’s privacy settings.

Firebase components support analytics, crash reporting and messaging. Hosting, email and other technical providers process information needed to operate their part of the service. Apple and Google also process information when you use their stores or billing services.

Website cookies and privacy choices

This website stores your cookie preference in your browser’s local storage under srm.website.privacy.v1. It records your choice, the preference version and its dates for up to 180 days. This necessary preference is not an advertising identifier and is not used for analytics. When it expires, or if you clear browser storage, we ask again.

The optional TrustedSite badge is disabled until you allow it. Allowing it loads a script from TrustedSite, whose provider receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or similar technologies. ReadTrustedSite’s privacy information.

This version of the website has no analytics or advertising scripts. Tutorial videos are links to YouTube, rather than embedded players. Following an external link brings you under that provider’s own terms and privacy controls. Hosting and security services still process technical requests needed to deliver and protect this website.

Accepting and rejecting the optional badge are equally available. Use Cookie settingshere or in the footer to change or withdraw permission. If the badge script has already started, turning it off reloads the page to stop that code. Withdrawal does not delete cookies already stored by another domain; you can manage those in your browser’s settings. Website choices do not change your app’s advertising or privacy settings.

If your browser cannot remember a change, we explain that it applies to the current page only. Unavailable, invalid or expired stored preferences do not enable the optional badge. With JavaScript disabled, the badge stays off and the website remains readable.

Your information and choices

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict its use, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. These rights can depend on the circumstances and are not all unconditional.

To make a request or raise a concern, emailhello@simplerotamaker.app. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing or changing personal information. Account deletion and privacy requests concern information held by the service; independently saved recipient copies and backups are separate from the active account.

You can also raise a concern with a relevant data protection authority, including Ireland’s Data Protection Commissionor, for UK data protection matters, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Using the service

These terms cover your use of Simple Rota Maker and its website. Use the service lawfully, keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. Do not attempt to access another person’s account or content, disrupt the service or upload harmful material.

Your content

You retain your rights in the content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit it as needed to provide the features you choose, including sharing and exports.

You are responsible for having permission to use the information, recordings and other material you add. Do not upload unlawful content or share someone else’s personal information without a valid reason. When you share a link, recipients may keep, edit and forward their copies; deleting your original does not withdraw those copies.

Review your plans

Simple Rota Maker is a planning tool. Generated rotas and statistics reflect the information and settings used to create them. Check shift assignments, availability, dates, times and exports before relying on them, and review them again when plans change.

The app does not replace your responsibility to check attendance, staffing requirements or applicable employment and working-time rules.

Optional purchases

Some features are available through optional in-app purchases. The purchase screen and relevant app store show the item and price before you pay. Billing is handled by Apple or Google under the applicable store terms and consumer law.

Use the relevant store’s billing or refund process for payment questions, and contact us if a purchased app feature is not working. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that apply to you.

Other services and availability

Features that use the internet, app stores, notifications or a device calendar also depend on those services, your connection and device settings. Keep a suitable copy of important plans and check that an export or reminder has been set up as intended.

External websites and services have their own terms. These terms do not exclude responsibilities or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
